Befriender Volunteers Wanted

Good listener?

Many carers become isolated due to their caring role.

Befriending is a pivotal volunteer position offering ongoing support to lonely or isolated adult carers.

Befriending volunteers are in a position of trust, as they establish a one to one supportive relationship with the carer.  This enables the carer to raise their sense of self-worth and their confidence.

Carers Northumberland is a registered charity aiming to improve the lives of unpaid carers.   We are looking for volunteers to join our    Befriending Initiative.  Reasonable expenses are paid.  Perhaps you would enjoy meeting up for a coffee, or a regular walk or taking part in a social activity with a carer?

Locations vary throughout the North, South and West of             Northumberland.  If you think you can help, please contact us for

further information.
