Telecare is a service that enables people, especially older and more vulnerable individuals, to live independently in their own home. Northumberland Telecare provides equipment such as the community alarm service, which is able to respond in an emergency and provide regular contact by telephone. It can include detectors or monitors such as motion or falls and fire and gas that trigger a warning to a response centre staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You can access this service through your care manager or if you do not have a care manager contact Adult Care Services (Social Services) on 01670 536 400 or to contact Northumberland Telecare direct call 01670 827100.
