Care Managers

Care managers are people who have been trained to understand the effects of disability and illness, and the ways they can be overcome. Many care managers are nurses, social workers or occupational therapists. A Care manager can arrange an assessment of the needs of the person you supports to help them find out about all of the options available. The care manager can also arrange an assessment for you called a ‘Carers needs assessment’ this gives you an opportunity to talk about how your caring role affects you in your day to day life.
